What if something happens and I freeze?

What if I make the wrong call and make things worse?

In a sudden, high-stress situation, clear thinking is hard—and hesitation or overreaction are common. Most people have never practiced making decisions under real pressure until it’s real. Split-Second Decision Drills for Personal Defense is a hands-on class that trains you to recognize situations quickly, weigh your options, and make sound decisions before stress takes over. Using realistic scenario drills, you’ll build confidence in your judgment so you’re better prepared to respond when moments matter most.

Who This Class Is For

Anyone concerned about personal safety who wants to be better prepared for real-world situations

  • People who want confidence in their decision-making, not just their instincts
  • Individuals who want to practice thinking clearly under stress before it’s real
  • Those interested in personal defense with or without carrying a firearm
  • Non–gun owners who want situational awareness and better judgment in tense moments
  • Gun owners who want to improve when and whether to act—not just how
  • Anyone who wants realistic, hands-on drills instead of lectures or theory

This class is for anybody 13 years old and up!

Your Instructor: Alisha Curtin

Carrying a firearm isn’t just about shooting well — it’s about making the right decision when it counts.

Alisha Curtin specializes in training defensive-minded civilians and CCW holders to think clearly and act confidently under pressure. As a certified Complete Combatant Image-Based Decision Drill (IBDD) Instructor, she focuses on the skill most shooters overlook: rapid, responsible decision-making.

Alisha is a CA DOJ CCW Instructor, CA P.O.S.T. Firearms Instructor, CA BSIS Firearms Instructor, multi-discipline USCCA and NRA Instructor, Defensive AR-15 Instructor, OC Spray Instructor, and AHA BLS Instructor. She is also a competitive shooter, law enforcement spouse, and co-host of Gun Owners Radio.

Her training helps everyday people move from uncertainty to confidence — prepared to recognize threats, decide quickly, and carry responsibly.
